Invitation to BIOME2026

CASMN (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. invited pharmaceutical companies, medical-device businesses and healthcare partners to the fourth International Biomedical Industry Expo, held on 16–18 September 2026 at Beijing Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center, 6 Rongchang East Street, Daxing District, Beijing. Exhibition setup was scheduled for 14–15 September. This article preserves the original invitation as an event archive.

Company and technology platform

Founded in 2018 to commercialise research from the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, CASMN works on flexible dissolving microneedles, from research and pilot scale-up to manufacturing. The original company profile lists national high-tech enterprise recognition, Beijing specialised SME recognition and participation in intellectual-property development initiatives.

The platform draws on more than two decades of microneedle research, with a Beijing R&D and pilot-scale base and a Chongqing manufacturing base. The profile describes a postdoctoral research workstation, a joint laboratory with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, participation in group standards for dissolving microcrystal patches and 3D-printed microneedles, and more than 70 patent applications in China and overseas.

Flexible dissolving microneedles

The RT-SMP® room-temperature printing process supports forming of microneedles made with hyaluronic acid and biodegradable polymers. Its room-temperature approach is intended to reduce exposure of temperature-sensitive ingredients to heat. Suitability for a particular peptide, protein or formulation must be assessed experimentally.

The source reports a third-party technology assessment and laboratory in-vitro delivery results of 50–90%. These are test-condition-specific findings, not evidence of equivalent absorption, skincare benefit or therapeutic effect in people. Needle geometry, formulation and intended use determine the relevant safety and performance evaluation.

The company profile reports a Class II medical-device registration for a flexible microneedle transdermal patch and an associated manufacturing licence. This does not imply that every proposed application or customer product is approved.

Two sites supporting different project stages

• Beijing: pilot-scale development, formulation verification, stability testing, process scale-up and sample preparation, supported by analytical and biocompatibility evaluation facilities.
• Chongqing: cosmetic microcrystal manufacturing, including printing, lamination, cutting and controlled packaging. The source states annual capacity of 150 million patches for this manufacturing base, not pharmaceutical capacity.

Quality and development services

The source lists ISO 22716, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 45001 certifications, plus SGS GMPC certification based on the US FDA Cosmetic GMP Guidelines (2008). Quality controls cover incoming materials, in-process checks, finished-product release, storage and logistics. Certification is distinct from approval of an individual product.

• CRO: formulation and structure development, permeation evaluation and project-specific preclinical research support.
• CDMO: process development, pilot scale-up, validation and manufacturing transfer, with registration-related technical documentation as agreed.
• CMO: manufacturing support for established customer formulations, subject to process suitability and agreed quality requirements.
• ODM: skincare concept development, formulation, packaging and production coordination, including applicable filing or registration preparation.

Application areas and development plans

The invitation discusses pharmaceutical research involving peptides, vaccines, anti-inflammatory compounds and traditional-medicine actives; medical-device development involving skin barriers and wound-care formats; cosmetic patches for localised skincare; and daily-care product concepts. These are different development and regulatory pathways, not interchangeable product claims.

Future plans described in the invitation include sustained-release and traditional-medicine formulation platforms, expanded pharmaceutical development capability and international research cooperation. Planned work should not be read as completed capacity or an approved product pipeline.

Product displays

The original invitation includes product and packaging illustrations. CASMN can discuss formulation development, efficacy evaluation and registration-preparation support for special cosmetics such as pigmentation-care products. A displayed patch shape or package does not demonstrate that CASMN or the illustrated product holds a corresponding special-cosmetics registration.

About the exhibition

The organiser, Shanghai Huhui Exhibition Services Co., Ltd., positioned BIOME2026 as a forum for biomedical innovation, industrial cooperation and technology transfer. The invitation describes Beijing Yizhuang's research and industrial ecosystem and the complementary R&D, scale-up and manufacturing resources of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

Advance registration was advertised as providing a dedicated visitor channel and access to accompanying events.
